Broadly-neutralizing antibodies have become a powerful tool to treat and prevent emerging infectious diseases caused by the Ebola, Marburg, and influenza viruses. My research aims to rationally design and validate immunogens carrying epitopes of broadly-neutralizing antibodies using the Rosetta software suite as also methods in structural biology, such as electron microscopy, crystallography and solution NMR. Rationally designed immunogens are further characterized in vitro and in vivo for their ability to evoke broadly-neutralizing antibody responses and protect from virus infection.
